Explosive yet controlled! Not every event needs high energy. Sure a wedding dance floor after dinner is expecting a level of excitement and fun to celebrate a once in a lifetime event for that couple, but some events need the right background that could eventually form into a dance floor if optional. But when I can be myself, I love keeping the energy high and exciting as I mix from part of a song to another with precision!

There are SOO MANY moments to pick just one, but when that mix makes a guest turn around and point at you with utmost approval! It’s such a feel good response!

Funk/Disco. There are so many modern songs switching to that disco feel because it’s fun and lively. So when opening up a dance floor with it appeals to every age before sending them down any genre path your crowd would be dancing to.

I love looping the 1st 2 beats of It’s Tricky from Run DMC which is just a high hat sound and matching it to the beats per minute of the song that is playing. Then when the time is right, release the loop and hear the first verse pop in overtop the playing song and watch the crowd cheer in applause knowing what’s coming next! Such a fun rush.

Playing a Slow Dance or singalong to bring the crowd back. Something easy for any guest to do.

Weddings for sure! I love a challenge, and every couple, guest, and needs are always different. I love customizing their experience to their big day.

Any event I get to EMCEE. Being that host, reading from a script, or leading guests to the next phase of an event is so exciting to me.

Using their playlist that they give me in Vibo app is a start to know what they want. Then when I’m there, I use appropriate options to specific songs (like a remix vs the actual song) that match the vibe their guests are giving off. It’s always a guess when you DJ, but knowing the type of music your client wants ahead of time is more helpful than they think. Plus any MUST PLAY song gets played when I see them on the dance floor and not when they aren’t in the room.

Love Sparkler Fountains! It just enhances a beat drop. I mean I’m DJ AdamBomb! I need sparks!

I introduce myself via email with a timeline if I can, but when there is no timeline, I personally introduce myself and make sure they are involved in any plans I have for the event.

That before I was a DJ, I was a massage therapist at Seven Springs and Nemacolin Resort.

I get to not only be a DJ at any event and in front of tons of people, but I get to be a part of events and experiences I never would have been a part of in any other occupation.

We had a joyous post wedding party. We wanted to make it a rocking dance party and DJ Johnny was up to the task and then some. He took my pre-formulated playlist and stuck with it with the exception of a few well placed songs for the younger crowd. The pacing and order of the songs was perfect. He provided exactly the right amount of commentary. Couldn’t be happier.
