The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is such a hard working foundation when it comes to finding a cure to end Cystic Fibrosis. Not only to find a cure but to provide all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care. The Western PA chapter is always evolving coming up with incredible events to raise funds and awareness. With there annual large events such as Corporate Cup, Great Strides, 64 Roses Sports Auction, Wine Opener, and 50 Finest to name a few, Moxie has assisted in each and every event. Our President, Adam DeFlorio, was a 50 Finest honoree and was on the committee to recruiting and collaborating on making the gala a spectacular event. We are determined to help the CF community find a cure to this genetic disease.
The CF community have been practicing social distancing long before the COVID-19 situation. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recommends that individuals with the disease stay at least 6 feet away from each other to reduce the risk of exposure to germs that become airborne with a cough or sneeze. Because of this, they have only allowed one person with CF at a time to join in their events. This is awful telling someone that you fundraising for that for your protection, you are unwelcome to attend. However, with the help of M.A.R.T.Y., we have changed that! Dressing the robot up, adding a bluetooth speaker/microphone to the back, and using the technology of video chat, we are able to have a person with CF share the stage with another person with CF to communicate and interact with each other. The sight of this absolutely tugs at potential donor’s heartstrings as they feel compelled to donate even more towards finding a cure.

Corporate Cup
This event allows corporations to form teams and raise money towards finding a cure. Each team then competes in a 2 day all out battle at Printscape in Southpointe, PA. Adam has been the trivia leader for their opening ceremonies. Providing a live trivia game that starts the competition off with a leading team going into the next day’s events.

Great Strides
For more than 30 years, Great Strides – the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event – has supported the Foundation’s mission to cure cystic fibrosis, a rare, genetic disease that has robbed people of tomorrows, progressively limiting their ability to breathe and tragically shortening life.
Great Strides provides a fantastic opportunity for family, friends, students, and colleagues to come together and make a difference for those with CF. The event harnesses the power of people with a shared vision and encourages collaboration, team building, and leadership, as we collectively take steps to find a cure.
Moxie has been very proud to be a contributing factor in making Pittsburgh’s Great Strides truly great. Our Selfie Stations help spread the way to capturing more funds through our microsites and ad banners featuring links to their fund page. We even promote the walk with our roaming booths capturing moments as participants walk.

Cycle For Life
Moxie Events have been offering their Moxie Selfie Stations since the very first Cycle for Life event. This annual bicycle event puts contributing riders through some of the most picturesque and scenic terrain in Western Pennsylvania. CF Cycle For Life is a fully supported 30 and 60 mile ride, including a short 5 mile ride for the less eager of riders.
Each year, our selfie stations help add a bit of excitement leading up to the ride. We even create prints that riders can write “Why They Ride…” and have them displayed for each rider to view on their way back from the course.
The Brewer's Ball, 65 Roses Sports Auction and the CF Wine Opener are amazing events held by the CFF every year supporting the fight for a cure.
Brewers Ball has earned its reputation as the craft beer event of the season, hosting over 40 popular breweries and 30 delicious restaurants. Guests enjoy unlimited samplings of handcrafted beers and tastes of the best local cuisine.
65 Roses (sounds like cystic fibrosis) Sports Auction is a fundraiser that teams up with the Pittsburgh Steelers each year to autograph footballs and speak about how they stand to fight CF.
Much like the Brewers Ball, Wine Opener features the best local wineries and restaurants in their fundraising efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Moxie lends their Selfie Stations, M.A.R.T.Y., roaming booths and DJ/emcee talents to bring these events to life.
